PGE and Ørsted have notified the individual price in the contract for different for both stages of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm project - Baltica 2 and Baltica 3. After verification of the documentation by the Energy Regulatory Office and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, it was forwarded to the European Commission.
PGE and Ørsted are jointly applying for the 45.E.1 area on Ławica Słupska. This area of 17 sq. km is directly adjacent to Baltica Offshore Wind Farm, the largest offshore wind farm under construction in the Polish Baltic Sea and one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms. The application to the Ministry of Infrastructure was submitted on the 23rd February.
Representatives of PGE, PGE Baltica and the City of Ustka have signed a letter of intent regarding the possibility of establishing service infrastructure at the Sea Port in Ustka for planned offshore wind farms.
PGE and Ørsted have jointly selected a consortium of Geoquip Marine and MEWO S.A. to perform a geotechnical investigation of the ground conditions. The project work, which has just commenced, is being carried out for the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm to be developed in two phases - Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 with a total capacity of up to 2.5 GW. The results obtained during the preliminary research and investigation will be used to select the most optimal solutions for the location of wind turbines and transformer stations in the offshore investment area.
The special purpose vehicle of the Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA – PGE Baltica, the company responsible for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea, organizes an information meeting for the potential contractors in public proceedings for the preparation of the indirect geotechnical campaign. The meeting will be held in the form of a teleconference on the 15th of February at 11:00 am CET.
PGE Baltica, the company responsible for the implementation of the Grupa Kapitałowa PGE’s Offshore Program, conducted an information workshop for potential suppliers of products and services during the Suppliers Day. The event, which was held in the form of an online live broadcast, gathered several hundred participants. The vast majority of them were representatives of Polish companies.
On the 14th of December 2020, at 1 pm CET, PGE Baltica will conduct workshops for suppliers of products and services who are interested in cooperation with PGE Baltica and special purpose vehicles - Wind Farms: Baltica 3, Baltica 2, and Baltica 1. In November 2020, PGE Baltica signed a contract with Ordtek Limited. The purpose of the cooperation is to perform the so-called UXO strategy (English: unexploded ordnance). The strategy will define the methodology of dealing with the potential risk related to the presence of UXO in the sea areas where the Baltica-2 and Baltica-3 wind farms will be built. It is another step into the implementation of the PGE’s Offshore Program, which aims to achieve 6.5 GW of installed capacity in offshore wind farms by 2040.
PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, together with its special purpose vehicle PGE Baltica, responsible for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea, invite all interested entities to take part in the informational meeting for potential contractors in the public proceedings for the seabed geotechnical research. The meeting will take place in the form of a teleconference on August 19 at 1 pm (CEST).
At the request of Baltica 1 Wind Power Plant, a PGE Capital Group company, Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A., Poland's transmission system operator, has issued requirements for connecting the 896 MW offshore wind farm to the national power grid. This is another stage in the offshore wind farms project being carried out by PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
