Doraco from Gdansk will erect the PGE Baltica O&M base in Ustka

The selected general contractor will design in detail and build new port infrastructure and buildings in Ustka, which will make up the operations and maintenance base for offshore wind farms.
PGE Baltica selected Doraco as part of the tender procedure already in December 2024. One of the bidders participating in the procedure appealed against this decision. The contracting authority then re-examined and re-assessed the bids and again accepted the Doraco tender in February 2025. This decision was not appealed against.
Among the previous hydrotechnical projects, Korporacja Budowlana Doraco from Gdansk implemented, among others, redevelopment and modernisation projects in ports of Szczecin, Gdynia, and Frombork. The construction works in the Port of Ustka are planned to begin in Spring this year.
PGE Baltica has already been granted a final building permit for the investment project in Ustka. It has also selected the contract engineer – Sweco Polska – with which it has signed an agreement. The tasks of the contract engineer include supervision over detailed designing and construction of the O&M base, with regard to buildings, redevelopment of the wharf, as well as the entire infrastructure necessary to safeguard ongoing operation of the base.
New PGE Baltica facilities in Ustka will be erected in the area of approx. 2.3 ha, in the western part of the port. They will consist of an administration and amenity building, a storage building, a vehicle circulation area, and a wharf where crew transfer service vessels (CTVs) will be moored. The O&M base is scheduled to be put into operation in Q4 2026.
The first offshore wind farm operated from the base in Ustka will be Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm, which is being built in the Baltic Sea by PGE together with Ørsted company.
