The Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm – a joint-venture of PGE and Ørsted – in addition to 107 turbines with a total capacity of 1.5 GW, will consist of four offshore electrical substations. Each of them will be equipped with two 225 MVA transformers. The first transformer has already been installed on one of the offshore substations (OSS). This is an important milestone in the production process of key components for the Baltica 2 project.

The first batch of monopiles – steel foundations for the Baltica 2 project, developed by Ørsted and PGE – rolled off factory floor. Monopiles are the key load-bearing elements of the entire offshore wind farm – they transfer turbine and wave loads, and the precision of their manufacturing and installation translates directly into the reliability and performance of the installation.

Construction of the PGE Baltica operations and maintenance base in Ustka is progressing according to schedule. The most difficult and time-consuming preparatory activities are nearing completion, and the first elements of the future port facilities are becoming increasingly visible alongside the quay undergoing reconstruction.
