In dialogue with local communities. The investors of Baltica 2 project have arranged a meeting with residents of coastal localities.

PGE and Ørsted mutually implement the Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm project. In relation to the planned construction on the sea as well as works on land that are currently under way, information meetings for residents of Władysławowo, Łeba, Kopalino, and Ustka took place between 4 and 7 March this year. More than 90 persons took part in the events. Representatives of PGE and Ørsted also talked with local authorities.
During the meetings, the representatives of the companies provided participants with crucial information concerning the Baltica 2 project and investment plans.
Residents obtained key information about the investment, including about:
- work schedule,
- construction of an electrical substation and the base in Ustka,
- job perspectives in the offshore wind power industry,
- benefits and impact of offshore wind farms on the region’s development,
- current state of Baltica 2 project development.
The representatives of the companies also responded to questions posed by residents, listened to their opinions, and responded to the needs concerning the planned investment.
PGE and Ørsted are planning to complete the construction of Baltica 2, with the installed capacity of approx. 1.5 GW, in late 2027. The offshore wind farm will supply green energy to over 2.5 million homes.
Regular meetings with residents form an inseparable part of the investment process. Long-term and good-neighbourly relations with the local community and authorities are highly significant for the Baltica 2 project investors.
