An operation and maintenance base for the PGE Group's offshore wind farms and the Competence Center for Offshore Wind Energy will be built in the Ustka harbor on the Poland’s Baltic Sea coast, about 150 km west of Gdańsk. PGE Baltica, which implements the PGE Group's offshore program, presented plans for the development of port areas for the needs of its offshore projects.
PGE Baltica, a PGE Group company, has entered the stage of environmental surveys for the Baltica 1 project - an offshore wind farm located approx. 80 km from the Baltic coast. The research will be carried out by a consortium of Gdynia Maritime University and MEWO S.A. specializing in subsea surveys.
PGE Baltica, the company responsible for the implementation of the PGE Group's Offshore Program, will be a partner of the 6th edition of the Postgraduate Studies in Offshore Wind Energy at the Gdańsk University of Technology. The letter of intent signed with the university authorities also opens the way to other, further forms of cooperation, which will be used by the Competence Center for Offshore Wind Energy created by PGE.
Due to the expiry of the term of office of the Management Board of PGE Baltica, as a result of the qualification procedure the Supervisory Board of PGE Baltica appointed the Management Board of the company for the fourth joint term of office:
Dariusz Lociński - as the President of the Management Board,
Grzegorz Wysocki - as the Vice-President of the Management Board for Finance,
Piotr Dziubałtowski - as the Vice-President of the Management Board for Operations.

PGE Group is extending its cooperation with the Polish Academy of Sciences in the field of offshore wind energy
PGE Baltica from the PGE Group and the Institute of Hydroengineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IBW PAN) signed a letter of intent, which paves the way for cooperation to develop the offshore wind energy sector. IBW PAN may support PGE, among others in the field of research on harbour infrastructure necessary to operate offshore wind farms. This is another research unit of the Polish Academy of Sciences from Gdańsk with which PGE will cooperate.
PGE and Ørsted together for suppliers – record-high attendance in the virtual meeting on the development of the Baltica OWF
Almost 800 representatives of potential suppliers, subcontractors and other entities interested in cooperation in the implementation of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm, including over 500 from Poland - - joined a special virtual event organized by PGE and Ørsted. The recording is now available online.
PGE Baltica, subsidiary of PGE Group, is starting the stage of measuring of wind resources and metocean data collection for the needs of the Baltica 1 offshore wind farm. The campaign will be carried out by EOLOS Floating LiDAR Solutions, one of the most experienced providers of this kind of marine research. It will start in the second half of May 2022 and will last for about two years.
PGE and Ørsted have announced a tender for the general contractor for the onshore connection for the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm
PGE and Ørsted have launched a tender procedure for the construction of onshore infrastructure necessary to evacuate power from both stages of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm, i.e. Baltica 2 and Baltica 3. The tender results are planned to be announced by the end of this year.

During the virtual meeting with suppliers on April 22, 2022 investors will present the progress of works related to the construction of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm with connection infrastructure to the transmission system, including the scope and plan of tenders planned in the near future, as well as milestones of the investment.
