The company located in Ruda Śląska will be responsible for investor supervision over an offshore project developed by PGE and Ørsted.

PGE Baltica has signed a contract with Geofizyka Toruń S.A. to conduct geophysical surveys, including high-resolution reflection seismic with simultaneous bathymetric measurements for the Baltica 9 Offshore Wind Farm project. These surveys will enable a preliminary analysis of the potential of the surveyed area. These are the necessary steps for preparing this project for auction and the subsequent construction of the offshore power plant.

PGE Baltica, a PGE Group company, has signed an agreement with Korporacja Budowlana DORACO for the construction of the operation and maintenance base in Ustka. A modern structure will serve as a key back facility for operating offshore wind farms in the Baltic. The construction works are planned to begin in Spring this year.

PGE and Ørsted mutually implement the Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm project. In relation to the planned construction on the sea as well as works on land that are currently under way, information meetings for residents of Władysławowo, Łeba, Kopalino, and Ustka took place between 4 and 7 March this year. More than 90 persons took part in the events. Representatives of PGE and Ørsted also talked with local authorities.

The selected general contractor will design in detail and build new port infrastructure and buildings in Ustka, which will make up the operations and maintenance base for offshore wind farms.

PGE Baltica has published information on procurement procedures planned to be launched in 2025. By publishing the document, the company enables suppliers interested in becoming involved in the supply chain for offshore wind projects executed by PGE Group to prepare themselves accordingly.

Green light for the construction of the largest renewable energy project in Poland by capacity. FID allows for official transition from the project development to construction phase of the offshore wind farm. Preliminary construction works offshore are planned for this year.

PGE Baltica – member of the PGE Group – has selected an entity to perform tasks of the contract engineer for the construction of the operation and maintenance base in Ustka. Sweco Polska submitted the most advantageous bid in the awarded tender.

What an intensive year it has been for PGE Baltica. The Baltica 2 project – developed by PGE and Ørsted – has completed a portfolio of key component and installation services for this offshore wind farm. The construction works for the onshore part of the project are underway. At the same time PGE Baltica has cleared land for the O&M infrastructure and conducted tenders. It has carried out part of surveying necessary for Baltica 1. 

PGE and Ørsted and Istrana sp. z o.o. It will be used for the storage, pre-assembly and offshore installation of turbine components for the Baltica 2 project.
