Construction of the PGE Baltica operations and maintenance base in Ustka is progressing according to schedule. The most difficult and time-consuming preparatory activities are nearing completion, and the first elements of the future port facilities are becoming increasingly visible alongside the quay undergoing reconstruction. KB DORACO is carrying out the project for the PGE Group.
The drilling is the next stage of the Baltica 2 project – the largest offshore wind farm in Poland, developed together by PGE and Ørsted. Using modern HDD technology, cable lines will connect the offshore and onshore sections while respecting the environment and landscape.
On July 31st, a symbolic steel cutting ceremony officially marked the beginning of production of components needed for the construction and subsequent safe operation of the Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm. The anode cages and mooring structures will be manufactured by the Baltic Industrial Group (part of the state-owned ARP Group) at its factories in Gdańsk and Gdynia.
