Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic (GPB) has manufactured the first anode cages and a boat landing for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm – the largest offshore project currently under construction in Poland, being developed jointly by Ørsted and PGE. These components, part of the secondary steel scope, play a key protective role by safeguarding the foundations against corrosion and supporting their long-term durability at sea. Under the contract, GPB will supply a total of 111 anode cages and an equal number of service vessel landing platforms.

The Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Gdańsk has issued a decision on environmental conditions for the Baltica 1 offshore wind farm. This means the project will be eligible to participate in the auction scheduled for December 17th of this year.

The Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm – a joint-venture of PGE and Ørsted – in addition to 107 turbines with a total capacity of 1.5 GW, will consist of four offshore electrical substations. Each of them will be equipped with two 225 MVA transformers. The first transformer has already been installed on one of the offshore substations (OSS). This is an important milestone in the production process of key components for the Baltica 2 project.
