Arkadiusz Sekściński

President of the PGE Baltica Management Board

Since 2007, he has gained professional experience in the energy sector as a consultant in companies advising entities dealing with district heating and electricity, and - since 2011 - as a director and member of the management board of the Polish Wind Energy Association. Since 2016, he has been associated with PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A., where as Vice President and Acting President he supervised the areas of investment, innovation, operation of manufacturing assets, communication, human resources and security. He served as president of special purpose vehicles responsible for the construction of onshore wind farms and the development of wind farm projects in the Baltic Sea. He also served as Director of the Programme for Development of Photovoltaics in the PGE Capital Group. Since January 2020, he has performed the function of Vice President for Development of PGNIG SA, responsible for research, innovation and development projects and supervision over IT, digitisation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, cooperation with start-ups, development of alternative fuels, including the biomethane and hydrogen segment, and acquisition of external financing for R&D projects. In addition, he was a Member of the Board of Directors of PGNIG Upstream Norway and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PGNIG Ventures. He has experience in acquisition processes in the energy sector.

A graduate of the University of Warsaw, he holds a title of Doctor of Social Sciences specialising in Political Sciences. He organised a curriculum in the field of “Internal Security”, “Energy Security” specialisation, and worked as a lecturer of such subjects as “Polish Energy Policy”, “Energy Policy of contemporary states”, “Renewable energy sources” and “Planning and financing investments in the energy sector.” An author of scientific articles in Polish and English. He holds the title of Master of Business Administration (MBA) obtained at Łazarski University under the MBA Energy Programme. He also received a scholarship of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (University of Bergen, Norway), Leonardo da Vinci Programme (Regional Office of Podlasie Province, Brussels, Belgium), Socrates – Erasmus Programme (Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece).
